THE ROME TABLE – FRESH WORLD B2B MEETINGS

“The Rome Table” is an international closed B2B meeting, the only one in Italy. The first edition (Rome, November 7th – 8th 2017) achieved a good success. The event is supported by the main associations of fresh produce industry in Italy: FruitImprese, Alleanza delle Cooperative, Italia Ortofrutta National Union, CSO Italy and Italmercati. One hundred 20 Italian fruit and vegetable production companies and 40 buyers from 20 different Countries are expected to gather in order to establish agreements of common interest. Each meeting is scheduled in advance and lasts 20 minutes. Meeting sessions are held for two days. Each Italian company can have a minimum of 12 up to a maximum of 20 scheduled meetings, selected from the buyer list provided in advance by the organisation. Each buyer can have up to 40 B2B meetings. Outside the business hall, buyers can also meet Italian companies with whom they have not set up a meeting. The event takes place annually. During the event the English report “Italian Fresh Trends” is presented, which talks about up to date trends in Italian fresh produce industry, targeted at foreign buyers. The official language of the event is English.
WHEN AND WHERE
“The Rome Table” 2018 takes place on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th November in the heart of Rome, at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel and SPA, via Frescobaldi, a classic and well-known Roman hotel. Two large halls are set up for the event, one for business meetings where each buyer has his own table, with a totem that identifies his company, the other hall, connected to the first, dedicated to all support services, with a permanent coffee station. Accredited buyers are hosted in the same hotel or in a nearby one.

PROFILE OF ITALIAN COMPANIES
One hundred 20 Italian companies will attend the meeting. 60% of these companies are medium and large growers in Central-South Italy and Sicily, and producers specialized in territorial branded products. 25% of the companies are represented by growers in Northern Italy. The remaining 15% are represented by wholesalers specialized in export of mixed loads. All companies involved are interested in increasing their export shares and discovering new customers and markets. They cover all the typical Italian productions of Central South, Sicily and the Northern regions.
