Omnibus Business trip in support of fruit and vegetables export. First target: Emirates and Saudi Arabia from March 30th
The missions promoted by Omnibus agency, aimed at putting Italian fruit and vegetable companies in contact with foreign importers, distributors and retailers, are starting again. The next mission, already included in the agenda, is the business trip to the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, while Omnibus is also working on the next mission: Toronto in Canada.
The mission to the Emirates and Arabia, which will touch two states and three cities, from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea, is set before the Easter period and Ramadan, and in time to understand the needs of the Arab market in view of the World Expo, which will be held in Dubai for six months starting next October 1st, attracting millions of visitors.
The departure is set for the morning of Monday March 30th, the return to Italy for the early afternoon of Friday April 3th. The mission destinations are Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. During the trip, meetings are guaranteed with large import companies, distributors and retailers located in the three cities of destination, with visits to warehouses and sales points. Companies such as Al Bakrawe, Casinetto, Crystal Asia, Elite Agro, Fit Fresh, Promar, Sharbatly, Spinneys have already confirmed their membership, while contacts are ongoing with Lulu Group and others. The schedule of meetings will be completed during the Omnibus pre-mission at the end of February but the program is practically complete in every detail.
Departure on Monday March 30th in the morning. The reference airport is Milan Malpensa (with flight at 10:25 am and arrival after 6 hours of flight with Emirates at 07:20 pm local time), but the participants, based on their residence and preferences, can fly from Bologna, Venice, Sicily (with Fly Dubai) or other airports. The booking of flights is made according to the needs of the individual participating companies. After the paperwork fulfillment at Dubai airport, the hotel in Dubai is reached by taxi where a welcome meeting and coordination between all participants is scheduled. Tuesday morning March 31st departure from the hotel for business meetings, visits to storage and processing warehouses and supermarkets in Dubai by minibus. Wednesday April 1st departure from the Dubai hotel and arrival in Abu Dhabi in the morning by minibus. Meeting with importers and an important supermarket chain. In the afternoon flight with Saudia Airlines to Jeddah, on the Red Sea, with arrival in the late afternoon. Thursday April 2nd we will visit import companies, supermarkets and business meetings. Late afternoon free, meeting at 7.30 pm for common dinner. Friday April 3rd departure from Jeddah airport; for the group headed to Milan Malpensa with Saudia Airlines arrival expected in the early afternoon. Any changes to this program are communicated promptly.
Registrations by Italian companies open on Monday February 24th and are limited in number to facilitate the timing of visits and individual business meetings. There is a maximum of 12 companies with a maximum number of two participants per company. The deadline for registration, if the maximum number of participants will not be reached earlier, is set for 01.00 pm on Friday March 13th. The Italian companies which will sign up the application form, will be followed by Omnibus, starting from the booking of flights and hotels.
